FANDOM

I have been contacted by a member of FANDOM staff regarding us providing paid material, such as PHB content. In short, it's not allowed. Full stop. The only things we're allowed to host is SRD and Basic Rules content. We have yet to receive official word on UA.

That leaves us in a tricky spot. Do we reduce the Wikia to SRD/Basic Rules? Or do we let it go all together?

That's where this blog post comes in. I want to hear from you all: the users of the Wikia. What should the fate of the Wikia be? Do we let it stand but with SRD only, or delete it?

You can get the Wikia's information by going to Special:Statistics and downloading the Database Dump. As always, please drop by our Discord server for real-time discussion.

I'm sorry to have to break this news, but it's something we need to discuss. Please leave your thoughts below. And don't get angry at FANDOM, if you can - they're in just as tough of a spot as we are.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's going on? Why are pages being deleted/info being removed?
> We were ordered by FANDOM to remove non-SRD/Basic Rules content. Yes, this includes the removal of Unearthed Arcana. No, we don't like it either.

What is the SRD? What counts as non-SRD content?
> Stands for System Reference Document. Anything not in it is non-SRD.

Did WotC/Wizards order this?
> Nope. It has nothing to do with them. It's FANDOM. I was contacted by MisterWoodhouse to remove stuff, and after a while of talking to everyone, it's happening. > EDIT: I can't believe I have to say this, but don't dox him. What the hell.

Why am I banned on the Wikia?
> Because you tried to put back non-SRD content. It's short, only 2 hours long, unless you did massive edits. To which case, it will last a week.

Isn't this kind of sudden?
> This announcement has been up for about a week and has painted the Wiki Activity. That said, I do realise not everyone looks at those, and apologise if you feel surprised by this all. I attempted to put it off and give a long period of warning, but eventually got confronted by FANDOM staff to do it then.

Why can't I comment on this post? > Because you people drive me insane and I cannot deal with more conspiracies, accusations, and other ridiculousness people have been dumping onto this post.
